As with any physical activity, recreational sports carry a potential for injury. We strongly encourage proper warm-ups, appropriate footwear, and playing responsibly. All players must sign a liability waiver at registration.
No experience needed. Our leagues welcome everyone from first-timers to seasoned players. We just ask that everyone plays in good spirit. As our leagues grow we plan on hosting coaching sessions for beginners to learn the basics as well as practice sessions so players can develop their skills!
Check your league page which will specify which equipment is needed by you.
Comfortable athletic clothing and appropriate footwear. Cleats are recommended for outdoor field sports like soccer, flag football, and softball. Sliding in shorts is not recommended and can lead to injury.
Team size varies by sport. Check the individual sport page for the minimum player requirements specific to your league.
Yes! Players will sign up in advance to be placed on a sub list. The sub list will be notified when a spot opens up. Sub requests go out as early as possible so there's enough time to respond. There's no fee to take a request and no penalty for declining - we'll never hold a pass against you. We also do our best to match sub requests by skill level.
Contact your sport coordinator as early as possible. We'll reach out to players on the sub list to find a fill-in of comparable skill level. The sooner we know, the better the chance we have of getting your game covered. If there are not enough players to field a team then ultimately a forfeit is required. This is the absolute last resort.
We are still working out the kinks with this. We plan on having a group chat for each league as well as a dedicated web app that will allow this to work seamlessly.
